We hope you’ll join us for our last concert of this season, EAST MEETS WEST, Saturday, May 25th, 8 pm, at St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Anglican Church (3333 Finch Ave. E., at Warden). Music has always had a way of bringing people together. This amazing concert also brings cultures together. We are thrilled to have the Odin String Quartet joining us, as well as the SPO Women’s Choir (Yiping Chao, Director), and special guest performers Lucy Lu (piano), Larkin Hinder (bassoon), Ronald Royer (cello), and Mark Laidman (bass). You also won’t want to miss new music from Bruno Degazio (SPO Composer-in-Residence) and Alex Eddington (his music will literally have you howling). We will also perform work by Canadian composer Sarah Shugarman and enjoy a special arrangement of Mozart by Samuel Bisson. The Odin String Quartet will also perform traditional Chinese music, along with Yiping Chao (soprano) and the SPO Women’s Choir, under the baton of Kevin Zi-Xiao He. Tickets available on our website (secure) or at the door.
